DEFENDERS! Welcome to the 20th CBRNE Command in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood Campus. Our Unit Ministry Teams are here to serve you and you’re Families. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we want to encourage and enable your progress. Our Unit Ministry Teams, in concert with the Garrison Religious Support Office, provide multi-faceted religious support to meet your spiritual and religious needs. Together, we strive to provide vibrant worship services, transformative religious education, and excellent resiliency classes. If you are looking for a particular faith group or spiritual practice, our chaplains are ready and able to provide information about our ministry opportunities, on and off post. Sometimes life gets challenging and you need a safe place to go for a listening ear. Chaplains provide counseling with absolute confidentiality enabling you to manage job stress, relationship issues, parenting issues, or other concerns. They also assist with questions about religious or spiritual practices. Each of our Battalion Unit Ministry Teams offer a variety of opportunities to strengthen your relationship or marriage, and help you grow in your spiritual journey. Our 20th CBRNE Religious Support Mission is constantly exploring and improving its capacity to effectively lead Religious Support (RS). For instance, Unit Ministry Teams assist commanders in ensuring Soldiers’ right to express their free exercise of religion. - Develop Strong Leaders through premier and creative moral and ethical leadership training. - Synchronize all unit and garrison RS through effective task organization and employing Army systems. - Invest in current and future RS through tenacious budget planning and infrastructure improvement. - Grow Strong Religious Communities through ecumenical partnership.
